Reminder for all interested. There is a Zoom meeting tonight July 27th from 6:30pm-7:30pm for a proposal to both rezone and build single family homes at 259 N. Clarendon Ave. This is the location of the current old “barracks” church, whose pastor died last year. The developer is planning on 2 homes on one lot, but he owns 3 lots that are contiguous so more homes will probably be added. The rezoning is not necessary to accomplish a build-out; the lot was also rezoned from Tier II to Tier IV in 2018.

Furthermore, my preference and that of some adjacent neighbors is to front the houses on N. Clarendon to preserve the integrity of the current neighborhood grid. Here is the info from the person representing the developer:

This is to inform you that there will be a proposal for rezoning from Tier IV to Tier II within the Scottdale Overlay District for property located at 259 N Clarendon Avenue, Scottsdale, GA 30079. Rezoning is to allow for a proposed lot split as indicated in the attachment to accommodate a single-family dwelling unit on each lot. A virtual community meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm to discuss our proposal.  Meeting will be conducted via zoom. Please see the information below.
